2022 – SCNZ Young Achiever of the Year – Finalist Anson Alexander

In 2019, when Anson approached Black Steel Mobile in search of an administration role, he immediately impressed with his desire to learn and improve his skillset. His obvious work ethic and attention to detail were a perfect fit with Black Steel’s company values which focus on integrity and client satisfaction and we willingly placed him in a trainee estimator role. Three years later, Anson was named a finalist in the SCNZ (Steel Construction New Zealand) 2022 Young Achiever of the Year Award.

From his first day on the job, Anson’s level of commitment has been superb and within a year or so, Anson shifted from trainee estimator to a full estimator role – a true testament to his acumen, positive attitude and willingness to learn. The next step was to have Anson training new starts in our estimating department where, once again, his patience and positive attitude shone.

In all he does, Anson’s communication, both within the team and with clients, is clear and concise. He shows up on time every day and is often the last person to leave the office. His commitment to hitting our clients’ timeframes is commendable and the quality of his output is undeniable.

We look forward to continuing to assist and support Anson with his personal and professional growth and we are excited to watch him learn and grow into new and interesting roles within Black Steel Mobile Ltd.

As a business, we are incredibly proud of Anson and were thrilled that he was named a finalist in the SCNZ (Steel Construction New Zealand) 2022 Young Achiever of the Year Award.
